    Formula To Add Year and Format Change

    Hi,

    I have a column with a date/time format that is showing for example 11.12 02:37. This comes from a software I am using.
    In another column I would like to it show as 11/12/19 02:37. I have tried using the formula =date(YEAR(A2)+19,MONTH(A2),DAY(A2)) but it did not work.

    Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Aarron

    Yes, thanks. Now see the yellow banner at the top of the page and provide a sample workbook.

    Hi, when uploading nothing is appearing and is saying that I have not selected anything to upload. Is it easier if I start a new post?

    No, you must not start a new thread!

    Did you follow the instructions properly?

    Instructions (Please Read Carefully):

    Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment (it hasn't worked for years, and despite our repeatedly asking the technical team who own the forum to fix it, they can't be bothered to do so), so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

    PS Are you really still using Excel 2007? If not, you need to update your user profile, please.

    This will literally do what you asked for based on the example you gave;

    Formula: copy to clipboard
    Please Login or Register to view this content.

    If you hope to still be able to use the date as an actual date then;

    Formula: copy to clipboard
    Please Login or Register to view this content.

    And then Custom Format the cell as "dd/mm/yy hh:mm"

    In the wizard you have to click on the "upload" button somewhere near the top of the window after selecting the file(s) to upload

    Is your profile correct? Are you using 2007? If not, please update your profile.

    If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.
