I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to do a sumif of amortization by asset category for a given period.
The example I've uploaded shows the items being amortized in A2:A14, the periods F2:AD14.
On a separate tab I have what is shown in cells A20:E28.
As I change the period in cell D20, I want it to sum the amortization by asset. In cell E20, I want it to pull in the total from that month's column so I can check the result against cell C28 (in case a new asset category shows up).
The formulas I'm trying to figure out go in cells C22:C27. I know it's some combination of SUMIF and HLOOKUP but for the life of me I can't figure it out.
