    Sum by month

    Can't seem to get this particular problem solved. Need to sum different things by month. Currently i do have the following formula working which sums by month:
    =SUMIFS(E1:E82,C1:C82,">="&B113,C1:C82,"<="&EOMONTH(B113,0))

    But doesn't work by person. Thought i'd need to place the following but haven't gotten it to work
    "*James*"

    Thank you for any help.

    It would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook.

    To do this, click on Go Advanced (below the Edit Window) while you are composing a reply, then scroll down to and click on Manage Attachments and the Upload window will open. Click on Browse and navigate to (and double-click) the file icon that you want to attach, then click on Upload and then on Close this Window to return to the Edit window. When you have finished composing your post, click on Submit Post.

    Do not try to use the Paperclip icon, as this does not work on this forum.

    Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
    let Source = #table({"Question","Thread", "User"},{{"Answered","Mark Solved", "Add Reputation"}}) in Source

    Re: Sum by month

    Here's a simple spreadsheet which covers what is needed. I agree it's just the persons name that needs to be select bu tcan't seem to find the right way of doing it, but the formula seems to work, it's just how to identify a particular person and how that would work in the formula.

    Cheers!

    Here is a workbook with the formula above showing the way it's been placed. Just need to place something that restricts the result to particular names. Somthing like "*James*"

    Thing is i can't work a way of doing this that makes it work.
