How to average first and last 3 scores with some blank entries

Okay, this is my first post.

I have a problem that I cannot figure out even with some research. So I thought I would come to the experts.

I would like to average the first three scores, and also, the last three scores to try and figure out the most improved.

I have a row of 16 possible scores, but due to missed scores, there may be blank entries in the row.

Also, if possible, to qualify for the most improved, there must be a total of at least 12 scores in the row.

I appreciate any help anyone can provide.

It would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook.

To do this, click on Go Advanced (below the Edit Window) while you are composing a reply, then scroll down to and click on Manage Attachments and the Upload window will open. Click on Browse and navigate to (and double-click) the file icon that you want to attach, then click on Upload and then on Close this Window to return to the Edit window. When you have finished composing your post, click on Submit Post.

Don't try to use the Paperclip icon, as it doesn't work on this forum.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

Sorry, I have attempted to add an example.

In the example, ABBY would not qualify since there are only 10 scores.

The other four would qualify since they have at least 12 entries.

In this example, it is easy to figure out in my head that EDITH is the most improved. But in a real case, it would not be so easy to calculate in my head.

    Thank you for your assistance.

Hi StarAuto and welcome to the forum,

I've made an example workbook of what I think you want. I've put in some If() formulas and averages in Helper Columns. I think this does what you want.

    See the attached:

One test is worth a thousand opinions.
