Is it possible to exclude certain cells from DGET Criteria Range?

I use DGET Function to lookup some values and get the corresponding values from an excel table. The criteria range in D2 is C1:C2, in D3 it is C1:C3, in D4 it is C1:C4 and so on.

I want only the first cell and the last cell in the criteria range. Eg: C1 and C4 only in C1:C4. Is that possible?

I tried with (C1:C4)-(C2:C3), but it doesn't work.
