Finding Latest Date of Multiple Transactions per User Using MAXIFS

    Hello,

I have a list of Donors (Column A) who gave gifts on gift dates (Column B). There are multiple rows for donors who give more than one gift. Column D contains a list of unique donors. In Column E I'm trying to find the latest gift date for each unique donor.

I thought I could use the MAXIFS function to solve this problem, but it's giving me an error. I'd be grateful for advice on what I'm doing wrong in applying MAXIFS.

    Thank you,

    Paul

    Re: Maxifs

Maxifs only available in Excel365 or Excel2019.

    Please try
    =AGGREGATE(15,6,$B$2:$B$29564/($A$2:$A$29564=D3),1)

    or
    =MAX(IF($A$2:$A$29564=D3,$B$2:$B$29564))
    Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter
