Toggle yes,no in 10 cells allowing only 1 yes

Hi I am looking for away to have a yes,no drop box or yes,blank in a row of cells and on allow one yes. All other cells in the group return to no or blank.

Setting up drop-downs (data validation) is not that hard. However, no formula or function (or DD) can affect other cells, they only work on the cell they reside in.

there is nothing magical about a drop down (Data Validation). It is exactly the same as if you had typed the entry in manually, the only differences being that a DD can save you some typing, help avoid typos and help restrict entry to only a specified "list". Other than that, there is basically no difference. You would refer to it in formulas etc the exact same way as if you were referencing a manually entered cell

Thanks for the reply, I dont have any issues with the drop down box, the question is there away to group a set of cellls that look at a response in the other cell. I could place a macro toclear all cells back to no and then select the one needed but that requires the macro button to be selected then select the yes cell, I was hoping to achieve it in one selection.
