Hello Experts,

I have a below requirement in the excel if you can help.

2. Record Sheet - which keeps daily record for items and their usage
3. Report - to produce what properties were utilized on particular day

Database Sheet : keeps track of item and their property e.g. I1 contains A1 and A2 property, Similarly I2 contains A3 property

Item A1 A2 A3
I1 X X
I2 X
I3 X
I4 X
I5 X

Record Keeping: This sheet is used for tracking daily usage of items. On 20th May I1 and I2 was utilized, On 21st I3 and I4 was utilized and so on

Date Item
20/05/2019 I1

21/05/2019 I3
21/05/2019 I4
22/05/2019 I5

Report: Would like to produce the report which summary the usage of properties of items on daily basis. on 29th May I manage to utilize the A1, A2 and A3 whereas on 21st May I utilized on A2 and A3.
Date A1 A2 A3
20/05/2019 X X X
21/05/2019 X X
22/05/2019 X

I don't know how to achieve the above which matches the multiple criteria across sheets and produce the above mentioned report.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: Need help with Index, Vlookup and Match function

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
