Add advanced level condtional formatting rules

    Hi,

I need help with creating a more advanced conditional formatting rule To best explain what I need please see the attached workbook. I have included a manually created mock sheet which shows what the final outcome should look like.

    Thanks for looking!

    Sorry for off-topic interjection:

Although there is no official rule regarding this behavior, we request that wherever possible both the question AND the answer be provided in substantive detail here within the thread. An attached workbook is an excellent aid for posing a question and offering a solution, but solely doing that with no in thread explanation makes it difficult for researchers to understand or consider the Q & A of this thread without downloading what may be a pointless doc to them, if they can do that at all. Doing that also hides the content from search engines so others may never benefit from this.

I'm sure you understand, and we look forward to seeing you post your formulas/macros in your posts for the searching benefit of all.

Thanks again for all your hard work here!

Pl see the sheet WorkingView (2) In the file attached
    Four formulas are

    For Green
    =AND($F5>0,ABS($F5)>G$4,COUNTIF($C$5:$C5,$C5)=1)

    For Red
    =AND($F5<0,ABS($F5)>G$4,COUNTIF($C$5:$C5,$C5)=1)

    For yellow
    =AND($F5>0,ABS($F5)>G$4,COUNTIF($C$5:$C5,$C5)>1)

    For violet
    =AND($F5<0,ABS($F5)>G$4,COUNTIF($C$5:$C5,$C5)>1)

Well well, I have come unstuck with this. I should have fully tested before concluding earlier, hope this tread is still open otherwise I will post anew.

I have a question: In your worksheet WorkingView(2) I noticed there are 13 formatting rules for the worksheet. Are all these necessary, or should I just concentrate on the 4 shown in your message earlier.

I also tried to replicate your sheet with my original WorkingView sheet but have come unstuck with the red and green rules (yellow and purple I have not tested). The green only highlights G5 and the red rule does not highlight any cells at all.

Sorry I did not see. I have removed all unwanted formulas. Now only 4 formulas are there.

With a little adjustment even my WorkingView sheet works perfectly now.
