    Sum different values based on criteria

    Hello, so can anyone help me to sum the different values in column A based on the criteria in Column B?
    I can sum the value of the values in column A but not how many different values there is...

    I've attached the spredsheet im using.

    Does this work for you?
    =COUNTIF(B:B,D5)

    No formula needed if you learn how to do Pivot Tables. See the attached.

    Pivot Table to Count different Info in B.xlsx
