    #VALUE! In cells containing =DATEVALUE("mm/dd/yyyy")

On one of my pc's, all of the cells are populating just fine. However, when I open the xlsm file on another computer All of the cells containing the DATEVALUE function return #VALUE!. I am using excel 2007 on my main pc.

Is there a way to get the values to populate?

Are the regional settings the same on both PCs?? Does one think it's in the the USA (where mm/dd/yyyy is used) and the other elsewhere?

    Hi Glenn,
How do I check regional settings? If one excel is 2010 by chance does that matter? Apart from regional settings, is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot? Thanks

How do I check regional settings?
Simple way is to look at the clock on the desktop, the date there should be in the format of your regional settings. If one is day/month/year and the other is month/day/year then that will tell you that the regional settings are different.

You might be able to use a different formula that wouldn't fail if the regional settings are different, but we would need to see how the date is constructed in the existing formula before we would be able to advise on that.
