Calculate weight for any given length of an item?

I'm brand new to this forum so I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I have only basic knowledge of Excel and the answer might be obvious, but to me it is not.
Could any kind person please enlighten me as to the formula for the following.
I want to automatically calculate the weight of any item of any calculated length.
E.G; part X is 1952mm (can vary) in length. I know the weight is 0.830 kg (can vary) per 1000mm. I would like to do this for several differing parts that have differing lengths to weight per kg.
So what would the formula be for this calculation be please?
BTW I have an old 2003 version of Excel.

As I understand, your example contains:
Col A has length in mm
Col B has weight per 1000mm

then in col C could be =A1/1000*B1

Think about how you would do this on a piece of paper, without using Excel.

If the weight is 0.830 kg per 1000mm, then the weight for 1mm would be = 0.830/1000

If part X is 1952mm long, then the weight of this would be = 0.830/1000 * 1952

If you substitute cell references for those numbers you will have a suitable Excel formula.
