My query here is how to get values in the desired cell. I want in Cell K3 "Date" from which stock values are available and in Cell K4 want a value of Closing price on that date. Now going further need closing price for each compnay on the last working day of every month and year. Dates will remain same for all the companies as stock last trading day will the same. I am attaching sheet with sample data and format.

Sorry - not sure that you have made this clear, but what is the last trading date of the month, please?

Last trading date for e.g. here year is 2016 and for the May month last date would be 31/05/2016, for june 6/30/2016, July 7/29/2016, August 31/08/2016, September
30/09/2016, October 31/10/2016, November 30/11/2016, December 30/12/2016.
Market remain opens from Monday to Friday. Trading goes from M to F only. So last friday of every month would be last trading date. For all the companies who have traded in the year 2016 have same last trading date and son on.

OK - so this is not what you said in your opening post. The last trading day is NOT the same in each month!!!
