Ok, this may be confusing.
What I'm looking to do is have an adjusted start date of a project that has multiple steps that I track through excel. its work related, and ITAR controlled so I cannot post the actual book, and need be vague, but I can explain what I need.
I have a table, with columns, STEP | DATE | START DATE | ADJUSTED START DATE | DAYS ON HOLD | DUE DATE | TOTAL PROCESS STEPS
What I'm looking for is the get an adjusted start date. if the value of the step column reads "HOLD" then I want to start counting workdays it has been on hold and add those workdays to the start date to get my adjusted start date. problem is it may come on and off hold, and the date column will be updated each time the project ends up at another step, or goes back on hold. everytime it goes on hold i need it to accumulate, not over ride with the latest hold.
I hope this makes sense. I can add or remove columns as needed to accomplish this if there is another, better way.
Thanks in advance any input will be appreciated.
