Attaching herewith a xlsx file. I need to sum columns D, F, G & I for the transactions dated prior to any date typed in cell B93. I have put a formula in F93 but it does not work.

I feel that attaching the Excel file mentioned as opposed to a copy of your post in a Word document would be a little more helpful.

I agree. Why would you attach a word doc when your question is related to excel?

D93=SUMIF($B$4:$B$90,"<="&$B$93,D4:D90)

Ford's (FDibbins) formula above should work for you.
So, just a side note, Why are you "array entering" your simple SUM formulas in F92 and I92 ?
It's not necessary at all.
