Hello, I have a little problem with the Excel solver.

I have a function which has a few local maxima.
The function is not linear.

I want to find the maximum of that function with excel solver. I know the solver only finds local maxima instead of the absolute maximum (I suppose this is to limit the calculation time?)
But isn't there a way to find the absolute maximum of a function in excel, for example by setting a minimum and maximum value for excel to limit the calculation time?
