Looking for Cleanest Way to Sum Column Based on Multiple Criteria

So in the spreadsheet below I am trying to figure out the cleanest way to Sum amounts that equals a name in Column A and then any amounts that equal one of four different options in Column B.

For instance, I want to sum the amounts for Tom that are Either Vacation, Holiday, Regular, or Overtime. I've tried messing around with SumProduct, but I don't think I am familiar enough to make it work and I don't think creating four different Sumifs functions is very efficient

Try a pivot table. Then you just need to update your range if it gets modified(additional entries).....OR you can try Sumif formula, where you tell the formula the:1 entire Range 2 Criteria (example the person's name) 3 Sum_Range (the column to sum on - your example Column C)
