    Getpivotdata formula help

Hi there I am new to this formula so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have multiple accounts with various sellers. I have summarized them into pivot table. What I need is a formula to pull from the pivot table all the names that fall under a certain account.

so if account 2 in A2 says this then pull
    X
    Y
    Z
    from the pivot table.
if in A2 it says 3
    X
    W
    G.

How does a getpivotdata work and would it be able to pull all of them?

    Thanks,

    Re: Getpivotdata formula help

Hello schubby10 and Welcome to Excel Forum.
This might be easier to accomplish with a regular INDEX(AGGREGATE,15,6... based formula that references cell A2
If you are able to upload a desensitized sample of your data along with a pivot table and desired outcome (manually placed), we may be able to automate the process using formulas/code.
To upload a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy), click on the GO ADVANCED button below the Quick Reply window and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
