    Formula for duplicates

    Hi,

    I'm looking for a formula that returns a value based on ID (second occurrence on wards) and date provided

    In the attached file, I want to return a value 'D' in Column C if the data shows duplicate ID in Column B against its respective date in Column A.

    Put this formula in C3 and copy down. You don't need it in C2 because it's the first value so there can't be a duplicate above it.

    I think A3 and B3 should be A2 and B2

    @AlKey, A3 and B3 are correct because the first row where the formula appears is row 3. I tested it in the OP's file before I posted the formula.
