Lookup and return multiple values concatenated in one cell

I have a two column, eight row table that looks like this:

John apples
John oranges
John bananas
Bob mangos
Bob papayas
Bob pineapple
Jeff berries
Jeff oranges


And I want to transform it to a two column, three row table like this

John apples; oranges; bananas
Bob mangos; papayas; pineapple
Jeff berries; oranges

How do I do this?
