=SUM(SMALL only if cells are more than 0

Morning again, after solving one problem on my spreadsheet it has inadvertently created another which i am hoping some one can help me with.

I am using the formula =SUM(SMALL(U3:U4,{1})) however when I use it it brings up the #Num error due to one or more cells being blank which then throws off my next column which calculates position. i therefore think that i need a if function to be added so that it only does the sum(small if there is a number in the corresponding cells.

Hope that makes sense and example spreadsheet attached.
