Auto-Generate Value Based on Date

Hello!

I would like a formula to generate the value "7" to cells in B column when the date listed in A column has passed.

For example, my A column contains dates 3/1/18, 4/1/18, 5/1/18 and so on. What formula can I use so that my B column auto-generates a value of 7 when the date in its corresponding A column has passed?
