Creating a formula that requires a cell to be populated

    Hello

I have a formula =IF((G14="correct result"),3,0), which obviously puts a "3" into the cell if G14 has "correct result" in it. However, this is dependent on cell C14 being populated. If C14 is empty, I'd like a zero, or blank, result.

Is this possible, and if so I'd really appreciate some guidance?

    thanks

    Tony

Re: Creating a formula that requires a cell to be populated

Why is it dependent on C14? C14 is not mentioned in the formula. Do you mean this?

    =IF(G14="","",IF(G14="correct result",3,0))

EDIT: Go with BSB's solution - I think I missed the crux.

    Thanks, BSB.

It looks a simple answer, but I've struggled every time there's a big tournament to get it right. Worked first time.
