Recurring budget amounts do not repeat correctly

Hi, I’m trying to make a budget in excel whereby all the income & expense items and amounts are regular and recurring.
In my example, the dark blue is the original data which I want to repeat by highlighting and dragging down and the light blue are the resulting entries. As you can see, the text replicates perfectly but the amounts do not, plus the blank space in the amounts column now seems to include an unwanted amount. How can I fix this please?

Try copy and past instead of drag.

Excel tries to be helpful by creating patterns when you drag numeric data, but, as you have found, it can be counter productive. There are some settings that you can change to avoid this but I think that they only work with consistent data patterns.
