Cells change color when information changes

I am doing some inventory using excel. I am sorting my sheet by shelf location (column A). What I would like to happen is for the cell in column A to change color everytime the value changes but also make the next cells stay that color until the value changes again which would revert back to the original which was no color (if this will only work by using 2 colors that is fine).

I have attached a sample of what I want it to look like.

This assumes that once a value changes, the previous value does not occur again.
