    Question Tolerance measure

    Hi,

Please help, haven't used excel for a long time. And I am badly stuck :/

    A1
This will be just a value witch are measured and writed down

    B1
This are a known value witch has tolerance for example 900mm +0,5-0,1 (how can I make a upper and lower value of this)

    C1
This will be Deviation of value A1 and B1

    D1
Here I need a formula witch tells me are A1 value in the B1 tolerated range. If it is it will print OK if not it will print NOT OK

    Thanx for the help.

    Re: Tolerance measure

I'd arrange it in a slightly different way:
    A1 measured value
B1 nominal value (without units, so just 900)
    C1 upper tolerance
    D1 lower one ()let's assume it's written as -0,1)
    E1
    Formula: copy to clipboard
    =B1-A1

    F1
    Formula: copy to clipboard
    =IF(and(B1+C1>=A1;B1+D1<=A1);"OK";"Not OK")
    Best Regards,

    Kaper

    Re: Tolerance measure

Well, one could try to dig-out 3 numbers from one text "900mm +0,5-0,1" with text functions - FIND, MID, LEFT and so on. But it will be quite complicated, and prone to errors.

Thanks for marking thread solved and for reputation point!
