    Round to the nearest 0.25

I need to round to the nearest 0.25 in a cell. I would like to apply the formula to the cell
instead of creating another cell with formula reading the cell with data

not sure if it is possible without creating a new column for the result
I would like to be able to update the value in the original cell.

so if I enter a number, for example 0.21, I want it to automatically adjust to 0.25
(kind of like with currency, if you enter a number like $1.428 it will automatically adjust to $1.43)

    I hope that makes sense.

    Thanks,
    Ben

...yes almost, I was already able to google that. that is what I want to do... except for one small detail:
When I enter a number in A1 for example 1.32 I want it to change to 1.25 in that same cell A1, I don't want it to put the output in A2

    Hi Ben,

If you try to do that, you get a circular reference. You can't overwrite a type in value with a formula on that value. You could create a new column (with the formulas in it) and then copy that column and paste (values only) over the original column. That would be my process.
