matching with a look function with conditions

Hello,

I'm new on this forum, and thanks in advance for all the help that you will give me.

I need to compile in the file attached the column in red "OLD ID" with one of the value searched in the column "OLD ID" on the right when the type is the same and with the conditions that The date on the right "inv. date" has to be before of the "Del. date" on the left. the ID can appear only one time.
is it possible to resolve this problem with a look.up function or an index/match function or i need to use a macro VBA? i know that both of the solution if finds multiple result, give the first value that fits the conditions, but it's possible to skip the first if it's already used in a previous line or if the other conditions don't fits?

Can you help me?
THANKS!!!!

Re: LOOKUP or other solution with logical condition

HI, welcome to the forum

Please take a moment to read the forum rules and then amend your thread title to something descriptive of your problem - not what you think the answer might be. (think google search terms?). Once you have done this please send me a PM and I will remove this request. (Also, include a link to your thread - copy from the address bar)

Many members search our previous posts, and thread titles play a big part of the search. I doubt anybody would do a search based on your title?

To change a Title on your post, click EDIT POST then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(note: this change is not optional )
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Regards
Ford

Re: matching with a look function with conditions

sorry i get that the post it's not so understandable; i edit the post and add some question, but i really can't find a solution at this problem so i can't write a sample of any solution.
is it more understandable the topic of the question now that i edited it?

All Im asking is that you show some sample answers, so that we know what you want. Even if you have to type them in manually
