SUMIF (maybe?) help needed - Copy value if text cell matches

I am trying to automatically create a table that calculates per diems, depending on the country. I have a list of all the countries in column A, with the daily rate in column C. I've created a drop-down using the list of countries from column A for people to select the country from. I'd like the next cell in the table to automatically fill in the value in C associated with this country. I've tried playing around with various sumif(s), but I'm stuck.

Any pointers?
