    Unhappy Attendance tracker IF functions

    Hello

I badly needed help in doing my template.

I was trying to create an attendance tracker where i can identify whether a person is "early", "on time" or "early" to be shown the in Status Column.

I tried using some formula but it doesn't seem to be right.

    Re: Help Needed: Attendance tracker

Please take a moment to re-read forum rule #1 and then amend your thread title to something that better explains your problem. Changing your thread title is not optional, which means you must change it. Thanks!

    • Use concise, accurate thread titles.
    • Your post title should describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.
    • Use terms appropriate to a Google search - poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice tell us nothing.
    • Responding to a request to change your thread title by doing so is mandatory.

To change a title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title.

No help to be offered, please, until the OP complies with this request.

Sorry - you still haven't explained the problem. Instead, you have told us what you think the solution should be. Try again, please. Something like this:

Formula to identify whether a person is "early", "on time" or "late"

    sorry for the confusion.

below is what i am trying to do. i want to display whether the person is late, on time or early in "Column P".
In Column N, it shows the schedule and in Column M shows their Time In.

Whenever i use this formula, =IF(M5>N5,"Late",IF(M5=N5,"On Time","Early")), it's displaying all lates and in accurate.

After take a look on your sample data sheet, found that there are some error on your date in Column M.
If use your date in your file, will return results something similar to you, but if i type in the new date, i can reflect the correct return.

You will need to round each cell as these cells produce time and time can be long after decimal

    Re: Attendance tracker IF functions

i tried to copy and paste the formula =IF(M2="","",_xlfn.IFS(N2<M2, "Early",M2=N2,"On time",N2>M2, "Late")) but it's giving me #NAME?

    I'm using 2013 version.
