if data is in cells more than 3 times

have done conditional formatting with the following formula

=COUNTIF($G$2:$G$154,G2)>3

but it only seems to update the text as the column has text and numbers, but it ignores the numbers any ideas

formating is on the PC List sheet

figured out was my own silly fault see code below

=COUNTIF($G$2:$G$154,$G2)>2
