Count Cell and Total By Month and Year for Multiple Cells

Hello again, I always try the long way with counting formula's and this forum just makes it simple.

Attached is my ebay sales excel.

I would like to be able to count the number transactions within a given month. Ie January/2018 had 35, February/2018 had 70.

I would also like to count the total amount of other cells for the month, but to keep it simple lets say count the total Profits J Column of February (749.89). While I thought this would be easy, my goal is to setup another sheet that I can pre-program for the year, to track sales. I guess I'm looking for more of a current stat. Ie So far this month I've sold x and made y. (I'm pretending here) IF month =1 & Year=2018 Then Count cell in J column and total.
