I have a =match formula in my spreadsheet. It works fine, until you do a sort. Then instead of recalculating which row the lookup value is in, it copies the cell number of the original placing. Any ideas?

what exactly is your formula? What result does it show before sorting? What result does it show after sorting? Please provide a data sample and explain in context.
