Conditional Format - Stop if true not working

    Hi,

I seem to be having an issue with "stop if true" for conditional formatting.

The attached workbook has simple working day selection list.

Cells E3:E9 contain the days monday to sunday
Cells G3:G9 if left blank should format E3:G9 with light grey text and italic formatting (this works)

When cells G3:G9 have 'Yes' typed into them i want E3:G9 formatting the cells with a light green colour and not text formatting

The above works to a degree and cells E3:E9 format as excepted but G3:G9 retain the blank format setting once 'Yes' is typed in
This is regardless of ticking stop if ture or not.

I'm using a simple formula of =G3="" for the blanks and =G3="Yes" for the filled cell formatting

Any help or where i am going wrong would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks Mark

The CF formulas should use $G3

Also, you only need one format condition (the second); use static formatting for the other.

    Thanks shg,

Can't beleive the $ sign is the only reason the formatting wouldnt work on G3:G9

It only works for col F because you merged cells.

Its working a treat in the actual file i require it to work in.
Wasn't sure if the merged cells would make a difference or not.
