    Copy paste gives wrong cell

    Hi
I'm working on a large spreadsheet and trying to update the information by copying from another spreadsheet some numbers and names.
Something weird happens, I copy a column of numbers and when pasting it, the first one is skipped.
    So if I have A1-5 A2-10 A3-15 when i copy to the new sheet I'm trying to update I get A1-10 A2-15 A3-0.
There are no hidden cells, nothing collapsed, and the cells are the same. I don't see any visible reason why it happens. The formatting shows regular numbers.
If I type the number then it works (but I have 15,000 of them) but if I copy paste it skipps.

Anyone knows how to fix it?

    Thanks!

What does you mean "the cells are the same"? 5, 10, and 15 do not sound the same to me. It sounds like you are copying and pasting formulas, which can show different answers in different worksheets. Do you want to preserve formulas, or just values? You can Paste Values to preserve the resulting value.

It would help if you would attach the source file. Under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

Re: Copy paste gives wrong cell

Unfortunately, I can't add the file as it's confidential information, and it's that specific file that gives me hard time.
I'm not pasting formulas, just the values. But I feel like it's been formatted in a way that changes it.
The formulas that already built into the model looks like =[@[Short Name]] and when I tried manually entering information the formula showed me 0.
    I'm really confused by it
    Does it make sense?

You should dummy up the confidential information and upload a sample worksheet. Not the whole worksheet, but a representative sample..

Re: Copy paste gives wrong cell

    Error found
There was a problem with the filtering causing all the pasted values to shift by one.

    Thank you!
