Counting Non Blanks Cells

Hi,
Anyone who can help me with this situation. Below is what my table is :

Loans table

Credit card Store Card Bank Loan Mortgage Family ID
1 1 1 1001
1 1 1001
1 1 1002

I need a formula that can calculate total loans that each family has, ex: Family 1001 has got 3 loans in total, and Family 1002 has got 2 loans.
I want my table to look like this:

Credit card Store Card Bank Loan Mortgage Family ID Total loans
1 1 1 1001 3
1 1 1001
1 1 1002 2


Appreciate all the help I can get.

Your layout is confusing - try attaching a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

I think you need to attach a workbook and show what you expect as an answer. its not clear what is in each column and why 1001 doesn't have 5 loans

Would the formula work if the 1's were replaced with letters or alphabets like a, b or c etc.
