If then state that answers multiple logic in one cell

I need to create an IF statement that goes through its own logic in one cell. To clarify here is the logic I am trying to achieve:

IF (L2 HAS ANY VALUE) "CREATED" IF (L2 HAS NO VALUE) THEN:

{i need it go through the following logic}

IF (AA2 {which will be TODAY'S DATE})> (G2 {a specific date) +70 DAYS) THEN SAY BOM NEEDED),

IF (G2 {a specific date) + 70 DAYS) > (AA2 {which will be TODAY'S DATE}) > (G2 {a specific date) +56 DAYS) THEN SAY WARNING 8 WKS APPROACHING),

IF (G2 {a specific date) + 56 DAYS) < (AA2 {which will be TODAY'S DATE}) THEN SAY PAST DUE!!!)

I am trying to post a picture of my sheet but I can't seem to upload the image. Thank you for your input.

Re: If then state that answers multiple logic in one cell

Hi, welcome to the forum

maybe this?
=if(L1<>"","Created",if(aa2>c2+70,"Bom needed",if(aa2>c2+56,"warning...","Past Due")))

Sample files are always better than pics (we cant work with pics).
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

That seems to only take the the last term and turn that as the false value. So when I set me date out to 2018 it still says past due?

=IF(L3<>"","CREATED",IF(AA2>G3+70,"BOM NEEDED",IF(AA2>G3+56,"WARNING","PAST DUE")))

And would the BOM NEEDED AND WARNING be conflicting with eachother? or is that the same thing as writing it as 10>x>7 ??

Thank you for the upload tip.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

Re: If then state that answers multiple logic in one cell

Try this:
Formula: copy to clipboard
=IF(L2<>"","CREATED",IF(AA2<=G2,"",INDEX({"WARNING 8 WKS APPROACHING","PAST DUE","BOM NEEDED"},MATCH(AA2-G2,{0,56,70}))))
