    Cell colour based on plus or minus % contents

    This one is easy but it's kicking my *** - I'm in the latest Excel (Office 365 version) and trying to do something similar to this;

    https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...ercentage.html

    Which is;

    - it the cell is a negative % value it is a red fill
    - if the cell is a positive % value it is a green fill

    Problem is I cannot figure out which of the options it gives me is where I set mutiple conditions;

    Any steer please?

    Select complete range.
    > Go to CF > Select "Manage Rules"
    > New Rule
    >Select "Format only cell that contain
    >Select cell value > Between
    > type in first box =1
    >type in second box =9999999999
    >Go to format > select green > ok > ok > apply > ok

    Same process above for Red
    change only first box =-1 & second is =-999999999

    Yes, but I actually just want 1 colour for less than 0% and one colour for over 0%.

    Just can't figure where exactly to set that.

    Re: Cell colour based on plus or minus % contents

    Thanks - AVK actually steered me here - hadn't realised that I needed to do a rule for each condition.

    On doing so, as the cells were % formula results, I amended as follows;

    Select complete range.
    > Go to CF > Select "Manage Rules"
    > New Rule
    >Select "Format only cell that contain
    >Select cell value > Between
    > type in first box =0.001
    >type in second box =0.9999999999
    >Go to format > select FILL > select green > ok > ok > apply > ok

    Same process above for Red
    change only first box =-0.001 & second is =-0.999999999

    And happy days.
