Remove function, but keep cell value

Hey- I'm wondering if there is a way to delete the function within a cell, but maintain the value that the function produced? I'm combining multiple spreadsheets into a master sheet and want to remove the vlookup functions referring to the "older" spreadsheets. I've tried the copy and paste trick, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Have you tried Copy > Paste Value?
