Pulling multiple data points from a file using VLookups and If statements

    Hi,

I have a tracking sheet at work where we track multiple projects and keep data sets to create GANTT charts; sometimes a project will have multiple tasks open on a given date.
I've been trying to figure out how to write a formula that will allow us to pull any open topics to one sheet... I have attached a dumbed down version of what we're working with:
    Capture.JPG
I'm looking to just be able to populate a new sheet with just the Project # and open task.
    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!
    JT

This can be achieved using array formulas and a combination of INDEX/IF/LARGE functions. It would be easier to assist if a sample workbook was provided with the dummy data. You can upload by selecting Go Advanced > Manage Attachments.

Furthermore, does an "Open Topic" mean any task (filtered by Project #" in which the End Date has not occurred yet?
