Finding and moving entries from one worksheet to a new worksheet

Good afternoon I need advice on a way to find a number of entries on a worksheet and moving them to a new worksheet

On worksheet one I have over 11,000 rows of data (customer entries).

I have a list of 65 customer reference numbers (that i know appear in column B) that I need to move from worksheet 1 to a new worksheet. Can this be done automatically or do I simply have to search for each individual reference and cut it and move manually?

    Many thanks

One way is to filter on the 65 customer IDs and then copy/paste to a new worksheet. You could do this in smaller blocks or filter all 65 in one go.

    Have you tried the autofilter?

Select Filter, then the column with Customer IDs, click "(Select all)" to deselect all entries then click on IDs you require.

Thanks - this is the way I had hoped not to use but guess there isn't a quicker way

The other option is using VBA: if this is acceptable, transfer this thread to VBA/Macro forum: a moderator will have to do this.

But how long is it going to take to select the IDs and then copy/paste: a few minutes ?
