I can't get the DatedIf function to work -- returns #value!

    Hello,

I am sure this is a relatively simple fix, but I haven't been able to solve through google searches. Does anyone know how I can return the number of months between two dates?

I have been using the DatedIf function (startdate, enddate, "m"), but it returns #value!.

    I attach an example file.

I appreciate any help that can be provided.

    Thank you.

    In D2 and E2 you've text date not excel date. Re-type 01/01/2017 and 01/01/2018 . F2 format General
    or
you can use Custom format (dd.mm.yy) to see 01.01.17 but you should type date like above.

    see att.
