Shortcut for changing the color from black font to red

Hi,

I need some words in the excel to be in red color, so I switch back and forth from changing font color, black to red.

I can’t seem to find a shortcut key to change from the black font color, to red.

Is there a shortcut-key from changing back and forth fast, while typing the text?

You can put these in your personal macro workbook and assign keyboard shortcuts to them, i.e. ctrl+shift+R for red and ctrl+shift+B for black: (basically, create your own keyboard shortcut to do what you want)

And how exactly do I do that? A step by step would be very much appreciated, cuz im at a beginner lever here

1. Press alt+F11 to open the VBA editor.
2. On the left-hand side (if there is no left-hand side press ctrl-R), right click on “personal.xlsb”.
3. Click Insert --> Module, copy the Red Font macro and paste it in the module.
4. Save and close the VBA editor.
5. On your excel ribbon, click View --> Macros.
6. Click once on Red_Font and then click Options.
7. By “Shortcut Key” press Shift+R, then click OK, then cancel.
8. Now any cell you select you can press ctrl+shift+R to turn the font red!

(The black font macro you don't really need because the font is black by default anyway.)

But I am using windows 7, and an online shared worksheet excel i.e docs.google.com/spreadsheet/excel

How do I do that in that?

It's a google docs sheet? Then you shouldn't be posting in an excel forum, you should post in a google forum.
