    Year to Date Earnings Projected

My boss wants a box on his quarterly summary sheet that says how much he would have earned if today was the last day of the year based on what he has earned so far this year. Not a prediction, nothing based on historical info or something that takes into account seasonal variations. Not based on quarterly or monthly or even weekly numbers. I can create the formula - that is the easy part. ((YTD/Day of the Year)*365) Where I get stuck is identifying the Day of the Year. Today is day 115 of the year for example. Tomorrow is day 116. I know that bc I asked Google. I can't tell Excel to ask Google. We don't do daily entries on that sheet so I cannot tell it to divide by the number of entries. I know I am missing something really simple. So frustrated!
