my first post on here so would like to so hello to everyone to start, my name is Chris.
normally I can find what I need for Excel but I am struggling with this one so I am hoping someone can help me.
the formula I am looking for is to calculate how much I am owed by month but only if a cell is blank in another column. so, if I have the dates in column A, the amount in column B and no text in column C, I want it to display the amount I am owed, if I place text into a cell in column C then the formula would minus that amount from the total. We could use E7 for the formula for April for example if you wish.
I realize would need 12 sum cells to calculate all the months but if someone could help with a one month formula I could sort the rest. I agree the below image is not the best example but I hopefully you get my drift
