    Format Row Based on Priority

    hi Experts,

Is it possible to achieve the following:

    - Column B should have "EDCO" if the series of S/O Number in Column A has a letter "E" between the text
    - Column D should be 2 days behind Column E
    - Column G should be equal to Column D
    - If Column H is "Y", the entire row should be green, should be red if "N", and should be yellow if "D"
    - All rows colored in red should be sorted first on the upper part

I attached my file for reference.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment. So, to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: Just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

    Part 1:

    =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("E",A9)),"EDCO","")

in B9, copied down. However, I an am bit confused by exactly what you're wanting here. Are these 5 separate requests, or one, or??? The last bit can not be done by formula.

Thanks Glenn, how about the part where the entire row's color change to red when the date today is the same as column E. yellow when today's date is the same as column D.

Re: Format Row Based on Priority

I got confused after I looked at part 1. I really don't understand what you wanted. Are these 3 separate requests, or one.. or what???

    - Column D should be 2 days behind Column E
    - Column G should be equal to Column D
    - If Column H is "Y", the entire row should be green, should be red if "N", and should be yellow if "D"

    for example:

    - Column G should be equal to Column D. If it is... what do you want to happen? If it is NOT, what do you want to happen???

Re: Format Row Based on Priority

I'm sorry for the confusion, I just wanted to have the entire row highlighted if the date today is the same as column D, forget the previous description I wrote.

Use this as the CF formula:
    =$D9=TODAY()

Apply to as many rows as you need.
