You can't change part of an array

    Hi

I've converted an old 2003 workbook into a 2016 workbook (.xlsx). I need to insert more rows into what was an array region of a worksheet. I have deleted all the cells that held the array formula, and if I highlight the whole spreadsheet and select Find & Select>Go to special>Current array, I get the message 'No cells were found.". But I still can't insert the rows.

Anyone got any ideas as to where I'm going wrong?

Worksheet size 1,048,576 rows by 16,384 columns
You can't insert more than exist

or do this: select all worksheet, from Home Tab go to Editing, find Clear and select Clear All

The original array was B185:F205. I have cleared all the formula in there and can't find any more using Go to Special>Current Array. I can insert rows above 185 and below 205 but not in between.

    You can try this:
    1. Open your old file (ex2003)
    2. Open new workbook (Ex2016)
    3. On the odl file go to the sheet where you want insert new row and select all
    4. Copy
5 go to the new workbook, click on A1 cell, hold Control key and hit H, V, P
    6. try insert new row on new workbook

maybe you have any data in the last row on old workbook so you can't insert new row. No see - no ideas
