Formula to calculate hours needed to produce 2105 at 48 pph

hi all, I've been racking my head for a formula to calculate how many hours it would take to produce 2105 pieces at 84 pieces an hour over 31 days.
What I've come up with is not working. Taking 2015 divided by 48 = 43.85 hours But when taking that 43.85 hours divided 31 days = 4 hours a day. but when I take those 4 hours a day times 31 days it gives me the same number of 43.85.

Basicall i need a formula that take total quota by 48 pph to know how many hours need to produce so I can take those ours to figure out payroll. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: need formula help to calculate hours needed to produce 2105 at 48 pph

    Taking 2015 divided by 48 = 43.85 hours
Why are you dividing by 48 and not 84? 2105 pieces / 84 pieces per hour = 25.05952381 hours. So, over 31 days that would be less han 1 hour per day; 0.808371736 hours per day, in fact.

And I don't understand this calculation:

    43.85 hours divided 31 days = 4 hours a day
    43.85 / 31 = 1.414516129

sory typo, the 84 should be 48 for pieces per hour required. so i then can calculate monthly payroll needed.

I was over thinking it, I already had the hours: quota divided by PPH is the hours, geez it took me long enough ha ha. thanks for helping

Re: Formula to calculate hours needed to produce 2105 at 48 pph

correct, but what was confusing me and made my thought process go beserk and made me think my math was off, is that in two columns had the same number of hours per month (One column named wrong). it all worked out at 8:42pm last night when the light came on. ha ha
