    Importing dates from Adobe acrobat

I exported a PDF file from Adobe Acrobat. One of the columns was a date expressed as dd/mm/yy. Excel interpreted this import as yyyy/mm/dd.

So I tried a Find and Replace in the PDF file with Find as /14, and intended to replace it with /2014; but no sooner as I opened the replace field the "whole word only" geyed out and pre-checked the field (therefore not allowing me to check search for part of a word)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi PJL and Welcome to Excel Forum.
As strange as this may sound I think that you need to use the Text to Columns tool on the Data tab.
    1) Select the cells that contain the dates,
    2) Choose the Text to Columns tool,
    3) Press Next twice,
    4) Select Date: and choose D/M/Y from the drop down,
    5) Press Finish.
If this doesn't work then I would suggest uploading a sample of you spreadsheet. To attach a sample spreadsheet click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
