    want a drop list to return a number not the description displayed

    hi all
    Im constructing a form in excel and have hit a wall
    2 sheets
    Sheet 1 is a form
    Sheet 2 contains 2 columns 1 is a description the second is the costing code
    On sheet 1 I want a dropdown list to display the column 1 descriptions ( this bit is simple ) ='Costs-Notes'!$B$15
    But when the selection is made I want the code displayed from the second column into the drop list cell on sheet 1 not the description

    Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
    If you are satisfied with the solution(s) provided, please mark your thread as Solved.
    Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved. To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.

    here is a sample if i have attached correctly
    on sheet 1 i need the code displayed in d7 to be the sheet 2 C5
    with the list cell showing a drop list from sheet 2 b5 to 15
